Industry Overview

With the advent of satellite networks, affordable and reliable mobile and remote global communication has become a reality.  Recent enhancements to the Low Earth Orbit and Geosynchronous Earth Orbit satellite networks and the introduction of new technologies have allowed the development of satellite communicators that transmit short bursts of data to satellites using far less power than did their predecessors.  Concurrently, modems have been greatly reduced in both size and cost.  These significant changes in global communications have led many important industries to quickly introduce this new technology into their business models to both maintain their competitive advantages and to avoid being technologically out-maneuvered by their competitors.  Companies of any size can now afford to take advantage of the opportunities presented by new satellite modem technology.

Pioneering Change

Quake Global is proud of its role as a pioneer in bringing many of these changes to the market.  QUAKE’s engineers have been associated with the industry since they designed the very first modems for the ORBCOMM ground earth stations in the mid-nineties and they have never stopped creating newer and better modems.  QUAKE has developed and marketed over twenty different models of satellite communicators for the ORBCOMM, Iridium, Globalstar, GSM and GPS networks.  Trucks, heavy equipment, ships, fishing boats, pipelines, trains and utility meters all are being tracked, monitored and/or controlled by QUAKE modems – 24/7, all around the world.  Our strategic partnerships with OEMs, VARs and other commercial providers of satellite and terrestrial communication services have positioned QUAKE to meet the remote communications needs of companies worldwide.

Mission Statement

“Our Quality; our Technology; our Attitude… is all we need to establish QUAKE as the dominant provider of global asset tracking equipment.”
